Meet David Walsh, the local and experienced guide behind DWSK.
Meet David
After many years of paddling, David’s love for sea kayaking and guiding led him to set up his own operation in 2018 along Waterford’s Copper Coast. David knows this area intimately and believes it has some of the best sea kayaking in Ireland and feels it is a privilege to be able to share it with others. David loves to share his passion for sea kayaking, the coastal environment and helping people achieve their paddling goals.
Experienced Guide
David has paddled extensively throughout Ireland including a source to sea expedition on The River Shannon for the Irish Cancer Society and is currently working on a staged circumnavigation of Ireland. David also has experience paddling in Canada, Norway, Belize and the UK.
Professionally Certified
David is an ISKGA coastal guide and a Canoeing Ireland instructor. Safety on the water is of utmost importance so David also holds a Marine wilderness first responder certification.
